Using Karate To Teach Kids Life Skills

Many of us have skills and abilities or passions that we can use to enlighten those around us.  Christopher Canada from Duncan, South Carolina is one of those people.  His love for Karate has become the way he earns a living.         You can get his book from his website  CanadaKarate.com

Not only is he happy and successful by following this path but he makes a point to give back to the community by teaching his students discipline and other life skills.  You might say well this is something that Karate is about.

Not every Karate school places this much focus on using Karate as a tool to uplift and reach people.  Christopher's organization even went through additional training in child psychology in order to be more effective.  So he is intentional at using his passion to create better lives including writing.

Is Your Family Protected?

Many agents will try to sell you whole life insurance pointing out the cash value benefits and investment components.  This insurance is ok for the right person.

However, for others term insurance may be a better solution.  It is much cheaper but has not investment component.

I recently took prep class for becoming an insurance agent and I can tell you first hand that there is insurance available to suit the needs of most people.

However, the best thing to do is get it early so that you can qualify for the best rates.  If you do this, you might be able to get whole life with a nice payout to the beneficiary in the event of your death.

Leave your family in a good shape by getting a policy that will cover all of your debts and leave enough to replace income.

What I also learned was the most insurance salesman like selling insurance because of the difference it makes in people's lives.  The only thing that limits many are lack of knowledge of what is available.  What they should be able to do it hear your situation and know what is the best available plan for you.

Here are some more things to consider.....

An agent is not always familiar with what is best for you or your business.  There are some great agents, I know a few in Greensboro, but all agents are not created equal as with any job.

Now some agents are captive agents.  That means they work for a specific insurance company, which limits their offers to that company.

Independent Agents are able to provide policies from multiple insurance companies.  This means they can shop your situation to find the best company based on policy that fits your needs.  You still need to pay attention to the details.  The cheapest overall monthly payment is not necessarily the best thing.  It depends on what aspect of the policy is important to you.  You have to communicate your desires to the agent in order for him/her to help you.
